Below are just some of the standard transition mouldings available to complete your flooring installation. Millwork Concepts does have standard lengths, however special lengths or other requirements can be accommodated to meet your needs.

Quarter Round
Quarter Round Moulding is typically used at the transition between the wall base and the hardwood flooring to create a smooth finished look. They can also be installed alone, creating transition between hardwood floors and cabinetry or other finished vertical surfaces. Wall Base is can be used as a substitute for Quarter Round and available upon request.

Reducer - Flush or Glue Down
Flush or Glue Down Reducer is typically used at the transition between flooring of different heights when the wood flooring is either glued or nailed to the subfloor. Flush Reducer is perfect for transitioning from the hardwood floor to either a vinyl or low pile carpet floor. In some cases it can also be used at the transition between wood flooring and ceramic tile if there is a significant difference in height.
Reducer - Overlap
Overlap Reducer is typically used at the transition between flooring of different heights when the wood flooring is floated over the subfloor to allow for the movement of the floating floor system. Like the Flush Reducer, Overlap Reducer is perfect for transitioning from the hardwood floor to either a vinyl or low pile carpet floor and can also be used at the transition between wood flooring and ceramic tile if there is a significant difference in height.
Square Nose
Square Nose Mouldings are typically used with hardwood floors when using the floating installation technique. It is designed to conceal the expansion space when the floor abuts a vertical wall or other object that cannot be framed by wall base or quarter round. For example, it can be used at a sliding glass door or fireplace hearth.

Stair Nose - Flush or Glue Down
Flush or Glue Down Stair Nosing adds the finishing touch to the hardwood flooring at steps, stairways or other changes in floor elevation. The Flush Stair Nose is typically used when the hardwood floor is glued or nailed to the subfloor. They are designed with a bull-nosed edge for esthetic appearance and typically take the most abuse from foot traffic of all transitions. Stair Nose - Overlap
Overlap Stair Nosing adds the finishing touch to the hardwood flooring at steps, stairways or other changes in floor elevation. T - Moulding
T-Moulding is used to make a smooth transition between different hard surface floor surfaces (i.e., wood to wood, wood to ceramic tile, etc.). They can be use at doorways, adjoining rooms or even at borders where the different flooring is approximately the same thickness.

Threshold Mouldings
Threshold Mouldings are typically used with glue or nail-down flooring installations at doorways, but can also be used when making a transition between flooring of different heights or types (i.e., hardwood flooring to hardwood, ceramic tile, marble or carpet surfaces).
